1. Visit the Cenote Azul water park.

Cenote Azul is one of the many natural swimming holes or "cenotes" found in the Yucatan Peninsula. This particular cenote is unique because it has been turned into a water park complete with slides, a zip line, and even a trampoline!

2. Take a cooking class.

Mexican cuisine is delicious and relatively easy to make at home - why not learn from the experts? In a cooking class, you'll not only learn how to make some of your favorite dishes, but you'll also get to eat them afterwards!

3. Go on a eco-tour.

The Riviera Maya is home to plenty of wildlife, both in the water and on land. There are plenty of companies that offer eco-tours where you can learn about the local flora and fauna while also getting up close and personal with some of the animals.

4. Visit a Mayan ruin.

5. Go snorkeling or scuba diving.

The Great Maya Reef - the second largest coral reef in the world - runs along the coast of the Riviera Maya, so there are plenty of opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving. If you're lucky, you might even see a turtle or two!

6. Take a walk down Fifth Avenue.

Fifth Avenue is the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Playa del Carmen, and it's full of shops, restaurants, and bars. It's also where most of the locals hang out, so it's a great place to people watch and soak up some of the local culture.

7. Learn to surf (or stand-up paddleboard).

The waves in Playa del Carmen are perfect for beginners who want to learn to surf or stand-up paddleboard. There are plenty of schools that offer lessons, so there's no excuse not to give it a try!

One of the best things about Playa del Carmen is that it's easy to find a quiet spot on the beach (or at your hotel) where you can relax in a hammock with a good book or just take a nap in the sun. Ahhh...paradise!

10 .Take a day trip to Cozumel island .

Cozumel island is just a short ferry ride from Playa del Carmen ,and it's full of things to do including snorkeling, scuba diving ,and exploring ancient ruins. You can easily spend an entire day (or more!) on this beautiful island.
