Celebrate Halloween the Adult Way!
Hello Ladies!
Halloween is a time for fun, frivolity, and of course, candy! But let's be honest, as an adult, Halloween can sometimes feel a little... juvenile. If you're looking for a way to celebrate Halloween that feels more grown-up, then look no further! Here are three ideas to help you celebrate Halloween the adult way.
1. Plan a Halloween-Themed Party
Gone are the days of cheap plastic decorations and orange and black streamers. If you're planning a party for adults, then take things up a notch with some spooky (but chic) decor. Think black candles, spider webs, and perhaps a skull or two. As for the food, get creative with your presentation. Serve "finger foods" like chicken wings or mozzarella sticks in small cauldrons. Or, bake some spooky desserts like black velvet cupcakes or spiders on a log (aka chocolate dipped pretzels).
2. Go on a Ghost Tour
One of the best things about being an adult is that you can do things that are actually scary! And what's more Halloween-appropriate than going on a ghost tour? Many cities offer guided tours of reportedly haunted locations. Do a little research ahead of time to see if there's a tour happening near you. Or, if you're feeling really brave, try venturing out on your own to see if you can spot any ghosts!
3. Watch Some Scary Movies
Halloween just isn't complete without watching at least one scary movie. But instead of opting for the latest gore-fest, why not watch something with a bit more historical context? For example, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is often cited as being one of the first horror films ever made. Released in 1920, it tells the story of an insane asylum inmate who escapes and goes on a killing spree. If you want something a bit more recent, then try The Shining, which is based on Stephen King's iconic novel about a family who becomes terrorized by ghosts while staying at an isolated hotel.
No matter how you choose to celebrate it, Halloween is always more fun as an adult! So pull out your best costume, gather your friends, and get ready for a grown-up good time. Happy Halloween! .......XOXO😘
