If you're anything like me, the start of a new year always feels like a fresh start.
Out with the old, and in with the new—including my skin care routine! So, if you're looking for some new skin care techniques to try in 2023, you've come to the right place. From double cleansing to using a jade roller, these are the latest and greatest skin care trends that you need to know about. Trust me, your skin will thank you!
If you haven't already heard of double cleansing, it's time to add it to your skin care repertoire. Double cleansing is exactly what it sounds like—cleansing your face twice. The first step is to remove makeup and other impurities with an oil-based cleanser. I like to use coconut oil because it's gentle and effective. Once your face is free of makeup, follow up with a water-based cleanser to remove any remaining dirt and oil. Double cleansing ensures that your skin is truly clean—and who doesn't want that?
Jade rolling has been around for centuries, but it's only recently started gaining traction in the Western world. Jade rolling is said to help improve circulation, reduce puffiness, and promote lymphatic drainage. To use a jade roller, simply apply your favorite serum or face oil to clean skin and then roll the jade roller over your face in an upward motion. I like to focus on my forehead, cheeks, and jawline. Give it a try—I promise you'll be hooked!
Using Ice Cubes on Your Face
This one may sound a little crazy, but bear with me. Rubbing an ice cube on your face can do wonders for your skin! It helps reduce inflammation, tightens pores, and gives you an instant pick-me-up (which we could all use from time to time). Just make sure that you wrap the ice cube in a cloth before applying it to your skin—you don't want to give yourself an ice burn!
There you have it—three new skin care techniques to try in 2023! Will you be giving any of them a try? I know I will be incorporating all of them into my own skin care routine. Here's to a happy and healthy new year! Happy Shopping!...XOXO 🍁🧡🍂
